1) For Rand to be interested in her again (as he apparently
was at the end of the book.)

I do not believe that she escaped, or used one of her wishes for such. Remember, Moiraine has memories of another man there, asking for a woman they held captive....sounds to me like the DO had someone go and bargain for Lanfear, after the Eelfinn had only drained a bit of her potential.

I think that the reason she was reincarnated as Cyndane was because whoever the Shadow sent to bargain for her made a mistake in the wording, and the Finns gave her to them dead.
