I am curious as to whether or not we gain any info as to the location/identity of Demandred? How large of a role does the Black Tower play?
Demandred doesn't appear in ToM, at least not as himself. The fact that Murandy with its new king is the only nation (other than the Seanchan) not to answer Egwene's call to join her outside Tar Valon was rather interesting though....
As far as the Black Tower goes, there's a couple chapters with information letting us know more about what's going on there, primarily through the Tower Embassy's PoV, but no major action.
The Black Tower, Borderlanders, and various other plots I would like to see wrapping up. Demandred is just pissing me off and he better have a major part in the last book because if not I will scream. I fully expect him to only be mentioned in the end when the final battle is fought. I expect something along the lines of:
"Rand steps out of a gateway with weaves prepared in case of an ambush. Suddenly he feels a large amoung of Saidin being channeled ahead in the trees, he peers at the figure holding the power and recognizes the face. DEMANDRED! he screams as he unleashes a bar of balefire and burns him from the pattern."
