We've discussed this back and forth, but the fact remains that each sex uses the Power very differently. The volume of Power needed to achieve an effect with saidin might not be anywhere similar to the volume of Power needed to achieve an effect with saidar.
It would be like a much more powerful channeler with the Talent of Foretelling confronting a weaker one who was quite dexterous with Fire. The first is more powerful, but the second has an affinity for a flow that is very useful in a direct battle, regardless of gender. This might equalize things to the extent that the more powerful channeler will decide to approach the weaker one in a less direct way to avoid having to see whose combat skills are more potent.

RJ said that the strongest channelers of both sexes were relatively equal in what they could do - and to the same degree. Therefore a group comprised of the strongest men and women possible, should contain people who can pretty much stand up against one another.

So is graendal similar to lanfear then?

I think, outside of semantics, our main disagreement doesn't lie amid the higher tiers
