There is plenty of action, but it all seems a little rushed, I think BS is trying to make everyone happy and tie up loose ends, I don't think RJ would have done that.
This complaint (at least from TGS and bits of TOM read so far - prologue, chs 1, 2 and 8 ) I don't think is really valid.
If TGS had come after COT I'd say it was justified, but KOD already had upped the pace. Prior to KOD, TPOD through COT had a lot of people 'getting in position'. In KOD they started to be in position and do things. If RJ had been around and split AMOL, I don't think the first of the three books would have had much more or less action. I think it would have been an extra 50 - 100 pages for the minor character interaction and 'world building' details Sanderson isn't so good on, but I don't see how people think TGS or TOM would have reverted to being like one of the books prior to KOD, when more and more plotlines had or are converging so they don't get 'spread thin' ' />
