Warder's lifespans are not extended by the Warder bond. CatherineSedai Send a noteboard - 23/10/2010 03:59:14 AM
After all, it seems that it's actually relatively easy to extend your lifespan in Randland. If they create some sort of 4-way intricate bonding (remember, this keeps the Warders alive), I think it's foreseeable that her lifespan can be extended a substantial amount. I do wonder if that much bonding to generate an extended lifespan would dock some amount (or even a substantial amount) from the others.

Warders still live the same lifespan as any other man. Remember, when Moiraine was about 45 she looked young (but ageless) and Lan had fine lines around his eyes and grey in his hair. Aes Sedai outlive many Warders in their lifetimes. It would require something other than the Warder bond to extend someone's lifespan.

I wonder if a weave similar to Healing Stilling could be used to allow a non-channeler to touch the Power. (hmm.....)

"The Warder bond has distinct benefits for both parties. The Warder gains greater stamina and physical prowess, a greater capacity to resist evil, the ability to sense shadowspawn at a distance, and greater resistance to injury (totally aside from the proximity of his Aes Sedai, who is probably able to Heal his wounds using the Power). The Aes Sedai, for her part, gains a bodyguard, confidant and ally-in-schemes who is intrinsically linked to her and can be compelled, to a certain extent, through the bond. Both parties are able to sense the other's general location, physical well-being and, to some extent, emotional state. " see link below for full article.
