Okay so I've been re-reading the entire series and i had a few thoughts i wanted to talk about for books 1-11...but i didn't write them down and forgot them, so although I'm only 1/2 was through book 12 figured I'd post before i forgot these too.
Someone had asked about plato reference although i don't remember if it was here, I'm not positive but check out page 239 in the hard cover, there are about 5 books names and one of the authors is pelateo's which might be a play on his name, i don't know for sure.
1st "Belief and order give strength. Have to clear the rubble before you can build. Will explain when see you next. Do not bring girl. Too pretty." <-Herid Fel's note. we know the 2nd sentence is referring to destroying the seals to "clear the ruble". The first sentence, although seeming straight forward, i wonder if has more of a meaning. This is mention on page 240 . In chapter 19 starting at about 294 though Tuon says multiple times a very simple statement, "I represent order." Could this note actually be a way of saying in order to win rand must ally with the seachan (we know it need to happen, maybe this is just another clue). He represents belief in the future, her order?
2nd, this is the one that bothers me and is not specific to book 12, we know the wheel of time spins around spinning the ages, each age has come and gone countless times. In order to get back to the first age though the bore need to be completely healed, no one should remember the dark one or even know what that is. Since the wheel spins around and around this has obviously happened before right? Now that rand has seen all those past memories shouldn't he know how to do this, i mean if he's seen his past lives should he have seen himself sealing the bore the correct way and the wrong way? I'm hoping that because rand has seen all these past memories maybe he can piece together many different ways to find a more permanent way of doing it that will survive through the ages. If he just seals it off again, i dunno I think i might feel cheated since the entire series built up to him seeing how's he's done it before, it's like watching a video tape about the end of the movie before watching the movie.
What are your thoughts on this, and feel free to shoot me down if i missed something or add your opinions.
