Loved the bit in So Habor, that was definitely darker than anything we had experienced up to that point, especially the rats attacking the cat in the grain warehouse. And the weevils living in an unheated warehouse (when was the last time you saw an insect alive and kicking in sub 0C temps?) And many of the other parts weren't bad either, the dark hounds, perrin throwing away his ax, Egwene's politics. Yeah it was slow paced but so what. And the silk washing scene that people love to hate because "nothing happened"? Contrast that to the scene in tDR when Perrin makes the draw shave in that blacksmith shop. Nothing happened there either, and it was considerably longer but I've never heard any complaints about that scene.

I love that scene in tDR! I think it advances Perrin's character and it's when he gets his hammer, which we all know becomes significant.
Mostly, Perrin is one of my favorite characters and it's before he started whining about Faile all the time, so I like to think more about the good times. ' />
am I the only person here who really liked it?
