once Moridin realizes Rand has turned a corner and that his plan failed and will just attack him with everything he's got.
That Mordin can risk this, since he doesn't really know how this might affect him, because of their link. We saw that Moridin's hand hurt or that he was sick, because Rand suffered.
He also influenced Rand psychologically with his despair and his nihilism, and in turn fed of Rand's growing darkness.
Moridin shouldn't care too much about his health... he wishes to die the final death as soon as possible, and has been wanting the endgame to start since, like... forever.
My guess is that Moridin will be extremely alarmed by the spiritual change in Rand. He will understand the tables have been turned on him, and there's now no way back: the endgame has started, and it's now a fight to the finish, and he will need all he's got against Rand. He might also be quite alarmed and disgusted by what leaks through the link, and how this is threatening to influence him, and undermine him... flood of emotions, love, peace, acceptance of the life-and-death cycle, hope, unshakable faith. All things Moridin loathes, and will dread being distracted by... He just can't afford to get distracted by what Rand feels, now it's no longer hate, suspicion, paranoia, despair - things Moridin fed on.
So, yeah.. my feeling is that when he realizes what has happened, Shai'tan will order Moridin to precipitate the LB, and Moridin will welcome this. Rand has touched Shai'tan when using the TP. I think Shai'tan will realize really fast order is starting to come back, and his greatest remaining asset is that time has almost run out. Shai'tan will strike...
Not a very hard prediction to make, since we know the LB starts officially at the end of the book...
It sounds to me, in the light of chapter 1, that RJ's structure was to make the main cast hit bottom (which Egwene and Rand did in TGS), then give us a glimpse of them as how formidable they'll be, then make them pay for being too late to reach this stage, by giving Shai'tan a victory of some kind, and a big set back to the Light (it sounds like it will be "losing" this new powerful Rand, who will end up being "dead yet alive" at the end of TOM, IMO). Through AMOL, the Light will struggle to turn the tide after the initial setback.
