Does the Oath Rod destroy the urge to procreate?

We know that Aes Sedai men and women used to procreate regularly in the AoL because there where much more Aes Sedai and we know the LTT had a wife and children.
Now very few Aes Sedai have husbands, I dont think we've ever seen an instance where a husband was specifically mentioned, just that it's something that Greens sometimes do.
We've never seen an AS have a child, or be pregnant. This seems a bit abnormal as most women have some 'urge' to have at least 1 child. Regardless of being homosexual, bisexual or heterosexual a good percentage of women want to have at least 1 or more children.
We also see that Elayne is pregnant and will procreate & that Aviendha had sex and at some point will procreate & that Egwene at least desires sex with Gawyn.
All these girls (at that point) have not sworn on the Oath Rod yet...
Also, it's interesting that the Tower takes girls at a young age, and then at no point do they rarely ever have children, at least as Aes Sedai.
It doesn't make a lot of sense that AS would frown on someone having a child as there is a good chance that they could have a girl that could channel. I suppose on the flip side they could have a boy that could channel, and no mother would want to have her child severed from the Source. Still I think enough women would take the chance if something else didn't stop them from wanting to try.
The other arguements could be that they have no time, but living 400 years seems like enough time to raise a child for 18 years or so. Also that they wouldnt want to see their child die before them which would happen if they gave birth to someone who couldnt channel. Even so I think there would be enough women who would still want to have a baby.
Look at society today, there are plenty of very busy women, even women with severe handicaps, little people, etc etc and they STILL have children even if it can potentially cost them their job, or even their life.
The Oath Rod was meant to be used on criminals, and not feeling sexual attraction would definitely be a punishment.
Another example to add in is Suian. Once she is stilled, and does not retake the Oaths she falls in love.
