Speed of weaving (or unweavings) and ability to weave at a distance are not related to strength and could also play a big a part in a OP battle.
Maybe you aren't as strong, but if your attack connects first, and is deadly, or crippling, what does it matter?
Also, particular channelers may be for Talented with certain weaves (or powers) which may give them an aid in a battle. Perhaps an (T)talent for shielding, or breaking shields? Or creating protective shields around oneself.
Or the types of knowledge Lanfear displayed against Rand. Knowing how the weave is made, and being able to counter it even if you can't see it (be in inverted or a different gender channeler).
