What a load of bitching about nothing. As if chronology has anything to do with the eventual outcome and enjoyment of the story.

That's a good one. Forgive some us for not having the right frame of mind to discuss over and over like a broken record the ranks of the Forsaken or debating to death minor OP aspects that to me have nothing to do the eventual outcome nor with my enjoyment of the story.

To each his own - calling criticism of the structure of the new books "bitching" uncalled for (as well call it mindless ranting while your at it), especially from an admin.. Forgive some of us for being interested in the literary aspects of books too - not at the exclusion of plot or world building details but alonside them, on a board supposedly devoted to all aspects of a single book series. God forgive some of us might have the sort of analytical mind to see issues there that do impair in some ways our enjoyment of the books.

That's sort of rich from people I've seen bitching and bitching and bitching about book 10 for years, the book that resulted from Jordan departing from his earlier linear timeline structure, and ending up with one story line so ahead of the others he got stuck with the slower parts, the build up, of all the other story lines stuck in the same book, and forced to stall Rand for yet another novel before he managed to get back on his feet. Forgive some of us for disliking the fact Jordan's efforts to resynchronize the story lines pushed aside by the book split, or for counting this as much, more a loss for the series than the accuracy or abundance of OP details we will not get now. And of course, I've never heard you bitch that COT was a a turd and very badly written novel.... But I guess it has not occured before to you that one of things that irritated you no end with this book was that every time something more interesting looked about to happen, the story jumped back in the timeline to get back to a slow start for yet another story line. But no, oh no... chronology structure of the story has not impact on the eventual outcome or enjoyment of a book.

Now, you can all get back to arguing if Graendal is stronger or not than Aran'gar, for myself I have more interesting things to do.
