Whose really to blame though? ajfurst Send a noteboard - 27/09/2010 03:43:30 AM
I'm sure ideally Brandon would have rather had the extra time to make it more coherent, but TOR wanted something out the door ASAP - which in turn was really due to all (most) of us being impatient. Looking back now I doubt I'm the only one who wishes TGS had been delayed 3 - 4 months. 2 - 3 to get the necessary 'clusters' finished to a point TGS would be logically consistent and another just to edit and review it.

The number of small things that should never gotten past the editors / consistency checkers was way too high. These I blame on 'Team Jordan' not Brandon. If he had to go and check every minor character every time we'd still be waiting for TGS. Certainly where I rate TGS in the scheme of books has gone several spots from my initial 'woohoo new WOT' book placement in the top half a dozen. And the obvious errors editing/consistency checking should have picked up play a fair part in that.
