1) Ok so for some odd reason Graendal actually shacks up with Aran'gar.
- This is already stretching the boundaries of belief as the only time we've seen this is when one of the two is in a mindtrap.
2) She supposedly has sex with her.
- Seems during sex you could get highly distracted and killed by the
other so this also seems very unlikely. Would you want to have sex with someone you know might have a knife under the bed?
3) She gets Delana and Aran'gar to weave the compulsion.
- This seems the most hard to suspend my disbelief for. Making Delana do it, OK. She's nothing more than a servant to either of them & I could see where Aran'gar would accept her ordering Delana around & because Aran'gar realizes Graendal doesn't want anyone to know she is there.
But why the hell would Aran'gar weave Saidin into compulsion for Graendal? She knows Rand is there and can see Saidin, he could just see it on Ramshalan and start wondering which male forsaken is there because he wouldnt think an Asha'man did it. That wouldnt help Graendal or her hide themselves.
Also just the idea that anyone but Graendal would weave compulsion is already an alarm bell to you if you are Aran'gar because EVERYONE knows she is the undisputed master of Compulsion and could invert and hide the weave better than anyone ever has.
Aran'gar is not much more of an idiot than every other Forsaken including Ishamael, Lanfear and Graendal have been. Her plans have failed, but so has everyone else's. She survived against all the AOL'er Light side channelers including LTT.
4) Aran'gar feels Rand holding too much Saidin.
- If she can feel it from such a distance and strongly she knows it is bad news. She knows that he either wants to fight or is planning to do SOMETHING with it. If you were Aran'gar I think there's only 2 options you would choose from:
a) Fight. Link with Graendal and send down a huge lightning bolt/fireball/earthquake/etc at Rand.
b) Flee. You're afraid of dying _again_ and so you get the hell out of there.
What you DON'T DO is sit there and say "Hmm.. I see my enemy on the hill in a big tank, but just because he has a potentially loaded missile I will send him a birthday card with my fingerprints all over them and sit in the corner under this blanket where he can't see me.
NO! You get in your own tank and fire first, or you run!
