- Aran'gar was discovered by Egwene and friends and had to flee. She was homeless.
- Aran'gar was seen making an alliance with Graendal.
- Aran'gar is residing with her ally while she seeks a new base of power.
Now please do tell... how is this 'incredible'? It's so obvious it hits you like a brick in the head.

Of course it also wasn't explained where Aran'gar & Delana stayed for at least 7 days between them leaving the AS Rebels and moving in into Graendal's lair.
Personally I think it makes absolutely no sense that Graendal would eventually grant Aran'gar and her pet Delana to live with her, especially considering that Aran'gar just lost the DO's favour and that Graendal had very important orders to fulfill. It's even made clear that Graendal is a bit nerved about Aran'gar's inquisitiveness, when Graendal is talking with Rand's messenger...
Till we know a good reason why Graendal had to survive, it was apparently simply done to provide an idiotic plot twist.
Why were they there?

And don't forget Graendal's belief that Rand would need to see saidin-woven Compulsion disappear in

No, I object because the whole scene was written in an utterly silly way, as I explained...
