While CoT isn't my favourite volume, it will always be included in rereads. One reason is that I dislike reading things out of order, though not everyone feels that way. Another is that with each reread I pick up something I didn't quite notice before, so rereading can be beneficial even if it's not the best book in the series. I would advise reading CoT again, but apparently we've all got our own way of re-familiarising ourselves with the material and none of them are wrong if it works for you.
Should I skip CoT?

If you've read that far, you owe it to yourself to read all the books, so no *NM*

Give it a try. If you're bored, skip it. You already know what happens. *NM*

My third re-read of ACoS was like that; I couldn't stand it until then.
