The triad that corresponds very loosely to the Goddess triad DomA Send a noteboard - 08/09/2010 03:41:50 AM
Thee are triads of gods/heroes in various myth, but they are not really the masculine counterpart to the female three-in-one goddess. The female triad originates with the Moon Goddess and the moon cycle and it's exclusively feminine.

It's male counterpart is most often the Sun God of the pantheon, not three individual gods or a god divided in three aspects. Which is why there's one Rand for his triple mate.

When a male parallel is made to the triple goddess, it rather uses the three functions of sovereignty: warrior, king, priest-shaman. King includes the rendering of Justice and the welfare of the people, so that touches of Sun Gods and other similar traits like regulating the weather. Priest-shaman refers mostly to the ritualistic functions that bring the goodwill of the gods to his people.

What would be the trio of masculine archetypes, and how would the ta'veren fit them? - 05/09/2010 12:01:09 AM 1256 Views
