the rhuidean one seems to have preprogrammed scenes into it, but the WT obviously draws from the user, but also has some "memories" in there. people who go in know things that they should not, perhaps they are echoes of memory from previous users?


The terangreal of columns that apprenticed wise ones and men who would become clan chief go through is the one your thinking of. The rings are what the woman who will become apprenticed goes through. The Rhuidean one shows possible futures which I don't really think can be programmed. I believe the rings in the white tower are pretty close to what you describe just wanted to point out your error here with the rings in rhuidean.

The columns might be programmed but I think it is to see through ancestors eyes of the person walking through the columns. One step or a few i can't remember for each successive step back in time.

I can't wait till we see what Avi sees in the columns because I think it will have a great bearing on the story as she will probably be the one to find the song through her ancestors eyes IMHO.


Also I wanted to comment on your thoughts about the Faceless. I thought it very interesting that you think they are the 'channelers' of the trollocs and thats why they are different. Probably a very good assumption too that when weaves are passed through them it taints them with the true power and this is what would make a channeler be turned. very cool thoughts on the faceless. Though I am very afraid of them because I am a trolloc at least now I know what they are all about! I wish I could travel on a shadow like they can too.
