Verin and her actions in the Aiel Camp Lews Therin Telamon Send a noteboard - 27/08/2010 01:22:12 PM
So now that we know that Verin Sedai was black ajah I've been thinking about her actions when she was in captivity in the Aiel camp.

Verin has been working all along to overthrow the black ajah. Also, she knew who most of the black sisters were. She also knew what her web/weaving would possibly kill a sister in the not too distant future. Verin basically compels the sisters in the Aiel's control...something Egwene later comments on as having "knowledge" that the sisters under Rand's control in Cairhien were compelled.

Do you think Verin revealed to Egwene that it wasn't Rand who did the compelling and that it was in fact Verin? Even if Egwene knows it was Verin and not Rand will Egwene not tell anyone and let everyone think it was Rand and the Asha'man?

How does Verin's revelation that she was working to overthrow the black ajah all along change your view of what happened in Cairhien when the Aiel had the sisters captured and Verin was compelling them?

Just wondering what you all think. I've never seen this discussed and I was thinking this is probably one of the things Brandon mentioned was in Verin's book she gave Egwene that we should be trying to figure out.
