No, Ramshalan would have been compelled to tell her the whole story, not just the BS Rand fed him about gaining the support of the Nobles. He knew all about the smarter opponent and then got a free ride to Graendal's doorstep... a simpleton could figure out that Rand was after her!

seems pretty obvious that he wants to destroy her fortress in a surprise attack and still know for certain he's killed her ... he pretty much says it right out loud.
