But she did escape.
Well that's their problem. My contention was that she escaped in the War of Power using intimidation, so I thought it was a clue that it would happen again.
But it didn't. Her boss did the dirty work. No one let her out because they were scared.Well that's their problem. My contention was that she escaped in the War of Power using intimidation, so I thought it was a clue that it would happen again.
I don't really see the merit of your statement. I didn't think that Semirhage would remain captured and she did escape. I also claimed that she would go on a torture rampage, which she did. If you're upset because I didn't predict that SH would release Semirhage and that she'd torture Min using the DB, I'll admit that I didn't have that level of foresight.
Using the word escape implies it is her own efforts. Specifying that you meant she will somehow, through her own actions or with outside assistance, become free, is too much like modifying your prediction in hindsight. Maybe you meant that, but your choice of words was disingenuously ambiguous.True, though they were on their way to being chronically frightened of her. It would have taken a few more months and she would have broken them.
Except Cadsuane had already reversed that trend and broken Semirhage. An arrogant, self-worshipping Forsaken had no confidence of your assertions. Cadsuane spent several weeks trying to get her mind past the Legend. When she did that she realized how easy it was to break Semirhage. You're not impressed by Semirhage, but that's because you're scoffing at it from a distance. If some biblical legend appeared on earth there is a good chance you'd be intimidated and concentrate on their legend and find their weaknesses harder to see.
Like what Biblical villain would be sufficiently intimidating? Not to mention the situation would be reversed. That's talking about a barbarian from the tougher times, as opposed to someone from a soft and weak civilized time.
