Regarding the beggar's staff, some have suggested that this was fullfilled in tGS, when Rand walked the streets of a Seanchan occupied city (Tanchico?).
I've suggested it got fulfilled during his episode in Ebou Dar in TGS (Rand the beggar and Rand's blindness), got someone to ask Brandon at a Q&A and he confirmed the theory. Metaphorical misery and blindness (metaphorical like most dreams appear to be, it sets them apart to an extent from other forms of oracular talents, like Foretelling and Min's Viewings which are a bit more concrete. What's seen in Dreams is less literal and more symbolic, eg: Perrin and Aram running toward a cliff, Egwene climbing a mountain, two ravens toppling a lamp atop the Tower, Logain stepping over a paper Rand falling into hundreds of pieces. Unfulfilled dreams are likely to be as symbolic as that: the Seanchan woman with a sword and the cloud covers above which she and Egwene much go together, the man in a narrow cot who isn't dead but already outside his funeral pyre is being built and some celebrate while others mourn, three in a boat etc.)
