Great idea about need. However, do you really think they would have found the male a'dam and not have noticed the CK right next to it?
Suppose Moridin used Need to find it in TAR like the wondergirls. And suppose that -like Egwene- Moridin could sense the same 'darkness and pain' radiating from the Band. It stands to reason Moridin could sense it better for multiple reasons (he's probably a better Dreamwalker with more experience and he's most likely more atuned to darkness and pain in general).Moridin didn't need to see it, to know where the Domination Band was. Why take the risk of triggering a warding?
