That's not the quote I referred to. It's similar but a bit different. Brandon was implying Semirhage was probably right in her belief, but didn't want to confirm it for sure.

Do you know where the quote is? It was not in Terezs quote library. There are a few others but they are basically the same as that quote in that they just say what Semirhage thought as a red herring without any confirmation if she is correct. And given how often the characters tend to be wrong...

There's another in which Brandon said it would be very hard (not impossible, but very hard) to channel the TP without Shai'tan's permission. Same thing: he implied Semirhage was right, but didn't want to confirm it just yet.

Which is basically the same as the "generally". It is "very hard" to draw TP without DO's permission? I would say that forging a balefire link with a Nae'blis and drawing the TP using him as relay qualifies as something "very hard". And again there, BS only repeats what we already know from the book. Semirhage _thought_ she was betrayed. Was she? BS has not said one way or the other as far as I know.

It seems fairly obvious what Brandon doesn't want to say straight out is that Shai'tan did betray Semirhage, because it's an issue we're not done with (it would be interesting to see how Moridin reacted to that).

I dunno, he could just be answering the question in a way that does not answer it at all. I don't necessarily see anything to suggest that Semirhage is right in his answers, merely that its what she believes.

Also just to clarify, why would Moridin react? Why would Moridin care about Semirhage? He was already pissed at her so he probably was glad she got balefired. And I doubt the news that the DO is willing to sacrifice the forsaken came as any surprise to him.

It sounds quite far fetched that Rand could access the TP or the OP through Moridin. Nothing so far suggests their mental link works anything like thst.

Maybe it does, maybe not. We don't really know all that much about the link. But we do know that its affected by OP, and that Rand saw Moridins face the exact moment when he channeled TP.

I would say the question is still very much open.
