Could Fain survive? Foxhead Send a noteboard - 15/07/2010 02:37:56 PM
I'd quite like it if he did in the end. A little unresolved thread, a loose evil wondering the world. If the DO is a symbol of alien evil (in that he cannot be comprehended) Fain/Mordeth is surely one of human evil, the most base and despicable side of humanity. Mordeth was greedy, conniving and murderous. I hope that we get more of insight of to the character and the inner struggle of Fain.

We've not seen Fain for a while and every time we do he returns with a new aspect to his developing "abilities". Not one to command legions he still attracts the worst to him, those who have fallen, easily corruptible and manipulated. Last time he had that swordmaster fellow with him, would it possible for him to find a similarly destitute channeller to corrupt?

Sure he's a little kooky, but don't we all have time for Fain? The man who countered Mordeth's aspect and helped his soul escape Shadar Logoth. Messed up a myrddraal (these who think a DH can take Fain must remember how he toyed with those myrddraal?). Came closest to killing Rand. Inspired Rand to cleanse Saidin. The list goes on.

Fain's a survivor, at the very least if he does get killed i hope he goes down in a blaze of glory, hopefully by being totally kickass
