But we never... Etzel Send a noteboard - 15/07/2010 09:17:30 AM
Such a flashback device with a dead character never happened in the books before. It's the same as stating that it is likely that Semirhage, Elza, the BA in Caemlyn or any other dead characters will yet get a revealing scene in ToM where they chat about something. Completely absurd and also contrary to what BS said on this topic.

If there will be more info about Graendal it will come in the PoV from other characters, like fellow Forsaken or SH (or BS will reveal in in a Q&A). That is the way it is always done in the series, if a character died, and just makes the most sense.

Not with a dead character perhaps, but we did see a flashback of the battle at Dumai's wells from the POV of the Shaido, as they flee the attack of the Asha'man. We also have views of the Cleansing from the view of others as they sense the beacon of OP. It is not beyond reason that we might have a similar scene from Graendals POV.

This is especially true if Graendal turns up to have something to do with Perrins plotline (such as manipulating Masema via compulsion or something)

Have such a PoV from a character, who died in the previous book. Therefore it's highly unlikely that BS would suddenly do something like this.

One can't really understand why some people firmly believe that we will probably get such a scene from Graendal's PoV. It's like stating that we will likely get a Elza PoV in ToM, where she has a chat with her Warder before her death to give as important informations. If infos about Elza would be such important and couldn't be included in TGS for some reason, we would rather get a PoV of her Warder in ToM, where he thinks about Elza and their past talk. This is less confusing than bringing a dead character back and could actually advance the plot without jumping back in the timeline. The other way is unnecessarily more complicated.
