Sure. That's for RAND to win. For the Dark One to win, it is as simple as just killing Rand...

You don't have to be devine to write an incomprehensible (to humans) god. Just as you don't have to be an alien to write about aliens.
Fair enough, but RJ has often implied that the DO wants to get free.
Exactly. But that isn't a strategy Demandred will accept, which makes him a useless leader.
But we all know how trying to turn Rand is going to come back and bite the Shadow in the ass. If Ishamael had killed Rand initially...
But unleashing hell on the field alone wouldn't win the Dark One much. He wants someone who'll help him destroy creation. Demandred's certainly not the man for the job!
Not he doesn't. He wants someone who will free him and kill the Dragon. He can destroy Creation by himself. He doesn't need to tell Demandred anything. He can squash him like a bug after he's free from his prison.
There is this myth that the Dark One needs to turn Rand, or get Rand to make the wrong choice, or some such special event.
This is bogus. All the Dark One needs is to break free from his prison. Then he can spend all the time he wants on weakening the Pattern and shattering the Wheel. And by the sound of it, he won't need more than a few minutes after breaking free completely to do just that.
Rand's job is simple: Stop the Dark One from breaking free. All the other laughter and tears hogwash is irrelevant.
I also think it's as easy as the DO just wanting to be free. Spreading chaos weakens the Pattern and his prison and increases his powers in the world, but defeating the Light destroys his prison.
However, for Rand to defeat him may be more complex. Like DomA has suggested it may require a combination of channeling, ta'veren, singing and all sorts of funny 'pattern' things to seal the patch perfectly this time.
In other words, if he had just had Rand killed in EotW, then nothing would have prevented his eventual escape.
Thus, Demandred would have been the perfect Nae'blis given this goal.
To put it differently: For Rand to win, all kinds of complicated events may be required. But for the Dark One to win, all that is necessary is for Rand to die.
Could Moridin be a false Nae'blis whom the DO wants to replace with Demandred?

Exactly. The Dark One just needs to get free. Then he can break the Pattern at his leisure...

Because Rand is the only one who can stop him from breaking free.
