Even in this situation, a duel is imminent. I don't see why you think in a hundred years of war, these two alone did not battle. They all seem aware of each others abilities, and there seems to be personal knowledge there.


Well for one, noone never mentions his battle with Lanfear: LTT was never alarmed in her presense, other Forsaken still joke about Lanfear's love to LTT, etc. It's all look cozy enough to dismiss the notion, I think.

Second, all intimate knowledge can be explained from previous intitmate relations between Mierin and Lews.
