"Perhaps the numbers would not have come to mind now except for Gitara's Foretelling, yet she had thought about them before. They were etched in her brain as if with acid. Space for above two hundred Accepted, but the second well had been shut up since time out of memory for any living Aes Sedai, and barely more than sixty of these rooms were occupied. The novices' quarters also had two wells, with rooms for almost four hundred girls, but one of those was long closed too, and the other held under a hundred. She had read once that novices and accepted had both been housed two to a room.... The Tower had been built to house three thousand sisters, but only four hundred and twenty three were in residence at the moment, with perhaps twice as many more scattered across the nations."

Unless I'm reading that wrong, this means there are four hundred rooms for novices and two hundred rooms for Accepted

800 novices 400 Accepted. 3000 sisters.

It's the 3000 sisters part that makes me think I'm reading it wrong. Perhaps there are 800 rooms for novices (making a total count of 1600)?
