cracks me up. I had the exact reaction to his work later. His books were such a force to me when I was 12-15, but now in my late 20's I find that they are so "cookie-cutter" it makes me sad. Notable exceptions are his darker works, "The Elfstones" Garet Jax in "Wishsong" "Elfqueen" and "Druid" I can still read. I havn't finished ONE of his last 4-5 books though, and curse myself because I bought them in hardcover.
