As long as Rand is around Min won't lead Knightscape Send a noteboard - 26/05/2010 12:48:22 AM
And, it seems to me, that any personal ties she has are exactly that. Personal. I don't see her convincing all the world leaders to follow her based upon the fact that she is buddies with Egwene, Elayne, Perrin or Mat.

I think she would be the worst possible candidate to be in a leadership position - she is not a leader and having some prophetic abilities does not make her the equivalent of one, especially given how useless it is to know the future in most cases.

When Rand is gone who else will lead? One faction will not trust another faction to lead. Will the White Tower trust Seanchan leadership? Will the Seanchan trust White Tower leadership? Will anyone trust Asha'man leadership? Seafolk? Aiel? Do any of the nation states have a strong enough leader to have everyone else follow? Mat is tied to closely to the Seanchan now. Perrin would be a maybe if his eyes didn't unnerve so many.
I don't see Min convincing anyone that she should be the main ruler, if it happens it will be everyone else convincing her to except the role.
Rand, Mat, Perrin, Egwene all had no leadership experience while Nynaeve had very little. This really doesn't seem to have slowed them down to much. Min has been around the most powerful leaders for quite a while now, she is bound to have learned a great deal about leadership from the success and failures of these leaders.
One Min to rule them all.
All good things come to those who wait.
