if a man and woman link, what is being channeled by the lead person? can they channel either half or can they channel both?


We know that they can apparently channel both. Rand does this at the cleansing. He first channels saidar to create the conduit, and then he channels saidin and pulls it through the conduit into Shadar Logoth.

I think he also does both simultaneously, I don't have time to check right now sorry, but I seem to recall a scene where he both strengtens the saidar conduit, while simultaneously pulling more saidin through it.


From what I recall, at the cleansing he was channeling and weaving both at the same time. I remember a paragraph in which it said something along the lines of, "it was like burning and drowning at the same time" or something like that until he learned to conquer Saidin and surrender to Saidar at the same time.
