Not.
Honestly, I never much understood the Egwene bashing before her treatment of Siuan and Gawyn post "rescue." There's no telling what would've happened to Egwene had she remained - odds are she'd have been punished for her actions during the raid (Elaida loyalists still carried weight in the Tower) or perhaps fallen victim to any number of misfortunes.
Her reprimanding of Siuan was tacky. Knowing Egwene, her actions in a similar situation would be identical. Her demands of Gawyn are unrealistic - essentially, she wants a friends with benefits relationship with her employee. As we've seen on numerous occasions, a Warder can be the equal of his Aes Sedai; apparently, however, a Warder cannot be the equal of an Egwene.

Egwene gave orders that she was not to be rescued. Siuan disobeyed said orders and could have possibly undone everything Egwene worked so hard to achieve(You know, finally getting the tower to start to see sense after weeks of rather ruthless beatings). This is similar to an officer failing to obey the orders of their general to take a position, if that happens, the results can very well be the destruction of the officer's command, if not the entire army.
It isn't that difficult to grasp. Siuan made a huge error. She got yelled at for it.
What if Gawyn can channel?

One of Egwene's finer moments, IMO.

Maybe insanity caused by the taint would explain how stupid Gawyn is.

He'd be free from being controlled by Egwene! RPA's right - insanity would explain the depth
