On the other hand, Egwene is anyway convinced from her Dreams that she will bond Gawyn (and probably marry him),
Beware though, Egwene is perfectly aware that most of her Dreams show possibilities, not certainties. They aren't set in stone like Viewings and Foretellings.
For example, Perrin seemingly has averted that Dream of Bran al'Vere tortured by Whitecloaks, unless it was meant to symbolize how they pestered him about his books.
I do tend to think Egwene will bond Gawyn, but I'm not 100% sure this won't be a relationship Jordan meant to fail in the end. He wouldn't have any otherwise (unless Berelain falls in love with Galad who doesn't return the feeling, possibly...)
But I think overall, Gawyn isn't ready to become a warder yet. He's too immature, too ruled by his emotions. He needs to wisen up and get some character development about responsabilities first.
I don't expect Jordan to solve everything before the Last Battle, because if he did that he would lose all his beloved conflicts that drive his plot. That was my reasonning when we argued years ago about a fast resolution of the Seanchan-Rand conflict (you were expecting it to be solved at the first meeting when Tuon learned about Semirhage, as I recall), and it looks like this might apply to the Egwene-Gawyn relationship as well, at least it's what I suspect when Jordan planted issues almost two-third into his finale (Egwene is a few chapters away from the two-third mark, like Tuon, like Rand), when it was the perfect moment, their reunion, to fall into each other's arms and the bonding to happen. I would think Brandon would have been quite happy to add something personal to Egwene's conclusion in TGS if he could. This speaks of a loose end that he couldn't tie up, because there's more to tell.
We'll see. I can't say Gawyn is a favourite topic for speculation. He's long been an irritant/distraction in Egwene's story line in my book. I'm not far from saying he would do Egwene and his sister a favour by having an accident. They've both outgrown him.

I don't get why she is so displeased with Gawyn but Bryne got off free.

He's supposed to be in tune with her feelings. She shouldn't have to tell him stuff. *NM*

Maybe insanity caused by the taint would explain how stupid Gawyn is.

He'd be free from being controlled by Egwene! RPA's right - insanity would explain the depth
