So, I was just wondering. If I remember, the Book of Translation is supposed to cause the Ogier to leave this world, and that the mainland Ogier are considering opening the book to flee before TG. What happens to the Ogier Gardeners? Do they poof into another realm from where they are? Do you have to be near the book to leave through it being opened? Would the Gardeners enjoy being whisked off to another realm when they are devoted to protecting the Empress? Just a few thoughts, I wish we knew more about the gardeners...
The steddings are pockets of an alien dimension that have been pulled through into our own dimension and provide a natural living space for the alien inhabitants(the Ogier). The Book of Translation will reverse whatever process that made this happen and withdrawing the stedding and their contents.
Any Ogier outside the stedding will be stranded and forced to remain until they die (or a channeler manages to make a gate between the two universes).
That's pretty much what I think this will do as well - I don't think the physical areas will change, but the nature of stedding will vanish, with the Ogier, leaving behind forests with giant trees and none of the other characteristics that made those areas stedding. This means a very great deal of the Seanchan Ogier will no doubt translate as well - all those who live in their stedding and aren't on duty as Gardeners when the Translation happens.
I'm fairly undecided whether the Translation will happen only after TG, or if all Loial manages to do is to convince a large group of Ogier to remain behind and fight, because if TG is lost, the Ogier "homeworld" will be destroyed just like the rest, while the rest of the Ogier Translate before the LB.
