Rand will need the tower once Egwene is done with it!

Even the increased numbers of novices brought in by Egwene's policies do not mean much given the Aes Sedai practices regarding their slow training and reluctance to risk them in battle, or hasten the development of their strength by forcing. As it is, the Aes Sedai have little or no influence over the far greater numbers of channelers available, in the world, and a strong case could be made that the greater the use of a channeler when Tarmon Gaidon comes around, the less control or influence the Tower leadership has over him or her!
The White Tower has made a LOT of mistakes throughout the series, but we have to remember that as of now Egwene is the Amyrlin seat. The Aes Sedai who continue to act foolishly in the face of Tarmon Gaidon are about to be set straight by a powerful Amyrlin who has studied with both Aiel and Damane, is wise beyond her years, and was most likely spun out by the pattern (as were Elayne and Nynaeve... what were the chances of that?) to help the Light. Hopefully we will begin to see some reasonable action by the Tower.
Also, I believe that Egwene will single out the strongest Accepted and Novices and "force" them SOMEwhat. She and Elayne were both forced, (Egwene most so) so she does have some idea of how to go about it without being destructive. And lets face it, a few girls being burned out or dying in the face of the end of Creation is really nothing. I'm hoping Egwene will pull out all the stops, use her Aiel heart, and bring the Tower up to speed.
I am also looking forward to seeing how Egwene goes about weeding the Black sisters from the Dragon's ranks, and bringing ALL the channelers into some connection with the Tower (i.e. Windfinders and Wise Ones). Any thoughts on that?

No. I can understand/appreciate the arguments, but IMHO the White Tower AS are not that valuable

Meh. Growing pains. And unlike the White Tower split, this will not be a refreshing shake-up

And the WT, even (or maybe especially) under Egwene is the greatest obstacle to that unity
