WOT has a too limited appeal to a general adult audience to have much interest to cable producers. They won't commit that much money to a series of mini-series for a specialized audience. Sy Fy could be interested, but they don't really have that sort of money.
Personally, I don't think WOT is such a good choice to adapt on the big or small screen, period. It's too long, with too many sub-plots and too many characters. If you axe enough of that to make it manageable and appealing to a wider audience, the series becomes almost generic.
