I only got around to seeing it this weekend, and I saw it in 3D for the fun of it.
I liked it, and probably because I only took it at face value. All my friends hated it, so I guess I was the minority opinion. As Ironclad said, it's a good popcorn flick. As a big fan of greek mythology I decided from the beginning to ignore any violations the writers may have indulged themselves with. And indulge they did - they basically raped Greek mythology to almost unprecedented levels.
I loved the Gods - I always do in these movies. I thought they were far better than in the original, though largely ignored. In the original they spoke much more, which was a serious flaw in this movie. I often wondered who all the extremely good looking people were in these scenes, but unfortunately they turned out to be extras more than characters. Poor Poseidon got only one line, and Apollo was lucky to get two. Hades was a brilliant character, and I loved his scene in the palace with the queen.
Perseus was a dense character. It won't be long before Sam Worthington is given his gold watch and sent on his way. He's got a leaden personality, and he could interchange himself between all his films without much of a difference. The intolerable rant for freedom and independence is such an overplayed story, it makes me sick. If they could make a hero who didn't whine so much, and enjoyed his skill and used it, it would be such a welcome reprieve. And again - a simple fisherman who becomes a demigod... talk about original thinking.
All the other characters apart from Perseus and the Gods are irrelevant. Andromeda is a side-role, and Io played the irritating 'oracle' plus 'invulnerable' role. There was zero romance in this movie, which has to be a first for a hero film.
The monsters are excellent - Hades, the Kraken, Medusa, Charon, Scorpions, the Djinn... outstanding special effects. Well Medusa, not so much. She was clearly some sort of CGI effect.
If you're looking for a movie with a decent story and character depth, you will hate this movie. If you're looking for some special effects escapism centered around Olympus, go see it.

Think I'll wait for it to hit my local cheap theater. It's never a loss on $1.75 Tuesdays. *NM*

If you get a chance, try to see the original. Ultimately, I think it's a better story than the 2010. *NM*
