HELL-Oooooooooooooooooh!
After months of Gleeless days, we're finally shoved back into the slushie-wrestling pit that is William McKinley High School. So grab a straw and pucker up!
The show starts off with a very quick "here's what you missed" recap.
Sue's back in school, and vengeful than ever. Following her suspension and holiday in Boca, she blackmails Principal Figgins by slipping him a mickey during their dinner date and photographing them both in a compromising position.
Rachel and Finn are now a couple, which is mostly one-sided. Finn crumbles under Rachel's "crazy calendar" and breaks it off with her to figure things out for himself. This leaves him prey to Sue's cheerleading agents Lopez and Brittany. It is on their date-a-trois that he realizes he DOES want to be with Rachel.
Off to the side, we have a devastated Rachel meeting Jesse St. James, lead singer to New Direction's rival glee club, Vocal Adrenaline. They hit it off instantly, but her clubmates threaten to kick her out or quit if she continues seeing him. She asks Jesse to keep their relationship a secret, unknowing that he truly is using her (with Shelby's approval). When Finn asks her back, she turns him down.
Will has never been happier. His glee club made sectionals, he has Emma, and his hair continues to defy Sue Sylvester. Emma admits she is a virgin. She is happy until a run in with Terri reveals that Will is not completely over his wife yet. (Will sang "Hello Again" to Emma, forgetting that it was he and his wife's prom song.) Emma tells Will that they should hold off being together so that he can have some time to himself, alone, and give herself time to come to terms with her obsessive phobias (which gets in the way of their intimacy). Oh, Will makes out with Vocal Adrenaline's coach, Shelby (Idina Menzel), on the side, but comes to his senses.
And that's not all! Check out Sue Sylvester's rendition of Madonna's Vogue; link below. Loved it! Mere words cannot describe it.
