I am rather worried about the Doctor wielding a gun, though. Surely his personality has not changed that much?
I assumed that was a moment of misdirection - I don't think we saw it aimed at anyone?
I can imagine him taking it off someone who is about to shoot a bad guy and using it in a non-lethal way to defeat the bad guy.
