Yeah, I wasn't entirely pleased with the opening. I realize it's the only way she could have had some chance of surviving, but how plausible is it that she could have reached the bathroom, shut the door, and dove in the tub in time and NOT be more injured than she was?
I winced when I heard that the door protected her. I could have imagined her starting to run literally the instant we flip back to Castle, because it does give a few seconds before it blows. But then it's more like a "run two steps and vault mostly into the tub" rather than a "close the door and safely make it there."
Maybe I'm being nitpicky, but they seemed to take their sweet time getting out of a potentially structurally unsound and still on fire apartment.
I agree too. I guess I could say that in real life, there would be something of the relief for both of them. I can't say I wouldn't act ridiculous too. I mean, I am pretty sure I wouldn't suddenly not care about being nekkid, now matter how shocked I was.
(it was totally out of place in the tension of the show at that point, but so Castle)
Quite so, which is why it worked
Right, so will Kate stay at Castle's, do you think?
I don't think so. I think there might be a passing reference to it in the beginning of the next show, but them seem eager to move back to funny. I think leaving her at Castle's might be too much for the sexual tension. I could be wrong though, maybe they'll make it more amusing than serious.
Castle! Who saw it? *mini-spoilers*
