L.A: Nadja lives and is married with kids to Sayid's brother. According to her, Sayid pushed her into his brother's arms. Although he wants to leave the violence behind him, when villainous debt collectors hurt his brother (and he ends up in Jack's hospital), Sayid takes matters in his own hands. Surprise guest: Mercenary Kimmy, who simply took a different criminal career in this reality, but dies all the same.
Surprise guest Number 2: Jin "No English", gagged and tied up in the bad guy's freezer.

On the island Dogen and Sayid collide and kick each other's ass. His son's baseball, or the memory it triggers, keeps Dogen from killing Sayid. We later learn that his son back home was more into baseball than piano (last week's LA reality) and got injured in a car accident, which made Jacob pay a visit to the Japanese man.

Claire approaches the temple, in that moment she seems oddly aware of who she is working for and all that entails.
All she does is call out Dogen, who refuses to leave the temple and locks her into a hole. Instead, he tells Sayid to meet the MIB and stab him with a special dagger. That doesn't hurt "evil incarnate" UnLocke in the slightest, who starts tempting Sayid in return with promises of wishes coming true ("Nadjaaaa!" ).
An ultimatum is announced, everyone who wants to leave the temple can do so unharmed before sundown. The stewardess likes the sound of that.

Kate returns to the temple and tells Claire about Aaron. The young mother is pretty pissed.

Sayid drowns Dogen and kills his interpreter. Team Linus arrives at sundown as Smokey attacks the temple. Why it can enter easily now, we do not know.
Ben looks pretty damn scared when he realizes that Sayid has switched sides. He follows Ilana and her team into the same secret passage Hurley and Jack took last week.

Kate follows UnLocke, Claire, Sayid and the others who left before Sundown. At least she takes a gun.

Wow.

You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling.
