Claire is more like her husband became after going underneath the temple. Funny thing is, the Others actually had Rousseau's baby but don't have Claire's and Rousseau managed to keep her sanity and avoid smokey for all those years while Claire was apparently mind-melted by Smokey in some way.
I think that he is her "friend" and knows he isn't Lock confirms that it was definitely Smokey that kept appearing as Christian Shepard (there were some other theories about that).

Claire was lured away from Aaron in the first place by an image of her father, whom we can assume was really just Smokey. Since then, something happened to make her forget she left Aaron behind, along with her general sense of time.

As for the Others torturing her...she had become Smokified, and somehow that's not curable. But Sayid died and was 'revived'. What about Claire? Did she or did she not 'die' when the house was bombed?

Was the image of Christian that appeared to Jack in Season 5 a Smokey image or a Jacob image?

Gaah! Too many questions!
The chief difficulty Alice found at first was in managing her flamingo.

Kate Austen was on the lighthouse dial as number 51, not crossed off. - 25/02/2010 12:45:15 PM 381 Views

Interesting that name 108 on the dial is Wallace. Possibly a shoutout to David Wallace? - 26/02/2010 12:22:26 AM 373 Views
Could be. Are the writers fans of The Office? - 26/02/2010 03:24:53 PM 371 Views
