I'm interesting in it, but doubt it's as good as the original mini-series.

The movie is based on a 1985 BBC mini-series (from the same director) which is widely considered to be the CITIZEN KANE of BBC mini-series dramas, at least until it was supersceded by 2003's STATE OF PLAY (interestingly also recently remade as a US movie), and is still a brilliant piece of work to watch today.
The film sounds decent, but the fact they only have about 1/4 the running time to work with makes me suspect a lot of the more interesting ideas and characters from the TV series might have been cut for time.
