We got it because several people recommended it to us as a great brand that wasn't too pricey. But it's been replaced twice while it was under warranty, so I'm not that enthused. The first time it had a blue line down the screen that drove me crazy. Then one morning it quit showing any pictures, just sound. The second time was such a pain getting it replaced that we will never buy that brand again.
Is that getting warranty work done on them was a massive pain. I haven't had to deal with Panasonic for anything yet, but I've heard they're good on the occassions that you need it.
