That first question was answered last season. Chas Send a noteboard - 18/01/2010 11:22:35 PM
These are the things I want that are Sam-related:

1.a. Seriously, why were the Chosen kids chosen? In both the pilot and in Salvation, it is implied that there is something noticeably different about the babies before YED sees them. Sam is a very quiet baby, so is Rose. Sam's baby mobile thingy moves for no reason - though that may be YED. Not all of the Chosen children had brother and/or sisters, so unless we say, Sam won American Idol because he was meant to, he was favourite because he was prophecied to win, because Dean was Michael's Sheath (condom joke! now!)... why Sam? Why the inevitability of Sam?

The one where they send Dean back in time.

1.b. Most of the other psychic kids we've seen seem to have a better learning curve than Sam. Andy, Ava, Jake, Max - they've all shown a greater ease of learning their powers than Sam. Ruby implied that the demon blood wasn't necessary to get Sam using his mojo, so we've never seen a powerful Sam. This is especially odd since we've seen Sam in season one - "Home" being slightly psychicy even without it being about Chosen kids. If Sam is Dumbo, I fucking want him to fly.

1.c. Yes, this is because both Buffy and Willow overcame their taintedness (Buffy's power was created from demon-taint, Willow's powers are also evilly augmented in an addiction scenario, and by the end of season 7 Willow's a goddess and Buffy's a warrior queen. Hello?) So. I want either powers!Sam or Sam cleansed of the demon blood with no capacity for it whatsoever. I am okay with Sam using his powers so long as 1) He does nothing Evil with it and 2) He needs no blood to do it. Even evil characters have managed 2.

2. I would love for Sam to get some love this season. I like that he is doing the "I am going to get on with things constructively and simply not do bad" as opposed to "I was bad and drank blood and betrayed my brother and so I shall drink myself to uselessness".

3. I want Castiel to like Sam. I just do. Well, actually, I want to know where Sam stands on the god issue. He prayed, once. All the time. Does he still? Does the Samulet burn bright in the presence of God because of Dean, or because of Sam, or because of itself?

This is what I want for Dean:

1.a. This is the other side of the coin for what I want for Sam. Why Dean? Why is he Michael's condom - sheath! Sheath! Why this perfection? (I like how the angels' way of coercing Dean is so different from Lucifer's way of coercing Sam - force openly applied instead of psyching-him-out-with-inevitability) Did everyone manipulate John so he could make the brothers what they were?

1.b. I want Michael to show up. I want a reason for Michael to be relevant to the plot. I want Dean to have to give consideration to Michael beyond, "No, and don't think beating me up will change my mind."

1.c. Am I the only one who makes the condom joke? I cannot remember right now. I want Dean to make the condom joke. I think it's funny.

2. Gods, it would be nice to see Dean be a sensible man without having him ManPain all over the place. He was ManPaining even while having fun with castiel, while - remember - Sam had to be made to ManPain by his deadgirlfriend!Lucifer. I just want less Dean-blames-someone-or-the-other. Which Sam has asked for and they're both working for, but. Bah. I want Dean to like himself. We've had FOUR seasons of Dean having reasons - good ones, like being an evil hell-torturer, and bad ones, like "my dad raised me funny" - to hate himself and put himself or his brother or his father down. Some Dean-self-loving, non-hairy-hands style!

3. I know this is wrong. But I want Dean to lose the Impala. God/John reaches down with a big fist and crunches it beyond repair. Fresh starts!

This is what I want for Bobby:

1. Anything. So long as he keeps showing up and not dying.

I also want:

1. A good Castiel arc. I liked his role in the last episode, even if it was mostly there to keep him out of the way so Jo and Ellen could die. I liked that face-off he had against Lucifer (and how it shows, again after "The End" and whichever ep it was he was deadgirlfriend!Lucifer, that Lucifer's m.o. is always the same - a show of honesty, empathy and this-is-inevitable-ity). I liked that he is a character who has always had feelings and emotions that were complicated, and that we're seeing more and more of them as he relies more and more on the Winchesters to get stuff done. To as he rescues them. pretty boy angel! Also, I want Castiel to like Sam, since it seems mean that they should both want God to be around and that he should have the Samulet and he should be all, Oh I trusted you and look waht happened, Sam. No, you didn't trust him! Learn!

2. Anael. Because I like angels, and I liked Anna.

3. Missouri. Not just because she is Missouri, but because this show just does not have enough alive!still, kickass women characters. Or characters of colour (is that the right term?) which is important in America. And this is an American show, dangnabbit!

4.a. More flashbacks, with the kids who played Sam and Dean in "After School Special". Because those kids were lovely. And, let me see, we've had flashbacks in Seasons 1, 3 and 4, and Dean simply reminiscing in the season 2 finale. I like wee!chesters. They are cute.

4.b. This way,we can have more John! Being a good dad to both kids for once. (There must have been times.) All the actor would have to do is wear makeup and maybe shave. Woo!

5. I want - and again, this is awful of me, but I want Lucifer to get a new body. His current one is not hot. And I want a Michael-and-Lucifer showdown, and I do not mind if they have to possess the Winchesters to do it. So long as the Winchesters survive.

6. Please. Let both Winchesters die, or neither. No more ManPain!
