They should have just put it on the dvd as a bonus feature, or at the very least mentioned in the promos that it was from season 1. I think most people following the show were quite confused, especially the ones who won't go on the internet to try and figure it out. What wad the point anyways, is the unread russian theme going to comeback and so they needed to show how it began? Otherwise the episode didn't do anything to advance the storyline of season 2 or have any real character development...
