I whole heartdly agree except
Stargate the movie = the original Batman comic book.
Stagate:SG-1 = the cheesy Adam West Batman TV show.
Stargate:Atlantis = Tim Burton's Batman movie.
Stargate:Universe = Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.
They ain't reached dark knight yet...
I never watched the other SG's for more than an episode or 2 because of the reasons you cited... in my mind SG1 was like the original star trek... and the others not much better...
SGU to me is a leap away from cheesy sci fi space adventure in to more of a drama set in a sci fi universe...
