I didn't know they made a new version of Emma. I've only ever seen one version (the one with Gwyneth Paltrow) and I didn't like it. Of course, I didn't exactly like the novel all that much, either. Jeremy Northam was a good Mr. Knightley, though. I'll definitely watch this when I can... Though I'm not sure about Jonny Lee Miller as Mr. Knightley. I think it might be hard to see him as someone other than Edmund Bertram. Didn't really like Mansfield Park (movie or novel), either, though... I liked the 1995 version of Persuasion, but there's something about Ciaran Hinds as Captain Wentworth that I don't really like. I don't know why, though. He's a good actor and he did well as Captain Wentworth...hm. Sigh. And of COURSE I love Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy!!! And HATE the Pride and Prejudice with Keira Knightley!!!!! Persuasion is my favorite Jane Austen novel, followed closely by Pride and Prejudice... I have yet to finish Sense and Sensibility, but I don't really like Mansfield Park or Emma. Northanger Abbey was okay, I think, but I don't really remember. And I've just realized this was supposed to be a short post about the new version of Emma and "are not you diverted?"
