The chapter's title was very fitting for today's epi.
Samuel does a pretty good job as the narrator. But idk what his accent is supposed to be. Scottish? It's not Irish brogue, his accent isn't strong enough.
Okay, once more, into the breach. Hiro wakes up in the hospital, talks with Peter about Destiny taking him to various people to help them. Peter says maybe he is supposed to help Hiro this time. Peter copies Hiro's ability and disappears, but not before Emma comes to him about problems with her ability. Peter goes to HRG to try and find a mutant healer. HRG's database locates some guy named Jeremy Greer who has the power to heal, but his power evolved to include killing by touch. Peter and HRG go to his house. Greer's parents are sitting in the living room, rotting, and the kid starts shooting at them.
Sammy acts as a guide/counselor to SyThan, helping him get his memories back. He wants Sylar's tre self to resurface, and sends out an invitation to the detective who is after Sylar/Gabriel. SyThan thinks his name is Nathan, and he may have served in the Air Force and is a politician. Samuel realizes his mind has been tampered with. Sammy orders a fellow circus person (looks like an older version of the Haitian but with hair) to make him remember. The "Haitian" takes him into the House of Mirrors, touches his brow, and leaves SyThan to "reflect". SyThan looks on in horror and denial as his past is laid bare.
Hiro and Emma talk. Emma wants to know how to turn off her power. Hiro thinks he is there to save her, not Peter. FRACKIN ****, why does he keep saying he is the master of time and space? He is the master of annoyance. Emma is the mistress of stomping away in a huff.
HRG confronts the kid; tells him he can still heal, but needs control. Peter 'ports next to the kid attempting to disarm him. Shotgun goes off. Pete stops time, but too late. He takes a bullet point blank to the chest. Time resumes. HRG has Greer heal him. Peter is happy to be alive. HRG gets Peter a ticket back to NYC as Peter absorbed Greer's healing ability. That was stupid. Peter should have just teleported all of them, including the kid, to the hospital and then either have Greer heal Hiro or absorb his power. Although, I can see having the power to heal be better as a paramedic.
Back at the hospital, Hiro uses a scheduled talent show at the hospital to teach Emma about accepting her power as a part of herself. Hiro is being all Jedi master like, cape n all. Emma and staff tell Hiro to stay in bed and rest until Peter gets back.
Sammy's true agenda is revealed. He gathers similar folk to create a Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Use their power to fight back vs those who persecute them and label them monsters. He preaches his views to Sylar. Manipulates him to go after the detective who he claims is in the circus to harm his "Family". SyThan goes there, confronts the cop, electrocutes him but just as Sylar's urges try to finish him, Nathan's "niceness" spares him. But then Edgar speeds in and cuts the cop to pieces and tells the shocked SyThan to get a mop. HAHA
SyThan is welcomed into the Family with a ceremonial water-baptism and bbq. Edgar is jealous of SyThan/Lydia, tells Sammy what good is having a "lion that won't kill". Sammy replies that maybe it is better to have a better Sylar, so that he would then become theirs forever.
Emma plays piano, is all happy. Hiro THANKFULLY disobeys and gets off of bed and promptly teleports away mid-convo. He went back 3 years to save Charlie. I hope he dies saving Charlie.
I just hope Masi Oka does not show up in this week's Glee to save Charlie, the high school counselor. XD
Next Week: SyThan wonders whose memories are stuck inside his head and where the real Sylar is. Parkman returns. Claire/Gretchen tries to survive sorority hell week (expect Rebecca to turn it into real hell).
Note to Hiro worshipers (pun intended): The katana wielding, fluently English speaking Hiro from the future does not exist anymore. By coming back to warn and change the past, Hiro's future self and time-line has been averted. So if present-Hiro dies, none of his past actions will be undone as his present self is traveling thru time.
