Gah! Hiro BAKAmura is in it! NOOOOOOOOOOooooo ....

Y'know, he wasn't annoying this episode. Although, I would have preferred other heroes getting more screen time, his story wasn't that bad. I got to see him get another painful power disruption scene so it wasn't a complete waste of my time.

This episode did not really go anywhere besides delve deeper into the characters' pasts (esp Nate), inner turmoil, and the acceptance of their present. Show starts off in Hiro's "Dial-A-Hero" HQ. Hiro's sister asks him to give her away at her and Ando's wedding (one year from now). When Ando finds out Hiro's said yes, he tells Hiro that he should not have promised such a thing when he will likely die sooner. The a call comes in, from a guy on the building's roof about to jump. Hiro goes after him and tries to save him through multiple time jumps. Needless to say, the jumper was an idiot who kept making the same mistake even after Hiro goes back in time to prevent him from doing so. It was basically a time loop sequence that ended when Hiro realized he should just talk to the guy on the roof. I would've just pushed them both off the roof. ' />

Nathan starts digging into his own past when he realizes there are large gaps in his memory. Mommy Petrelli brings over a box of his childhood toys and other stuff for him to use his psychometrics on. He flashes on the seeming murder of a past girlfriend, which prompts him to dig even deeper as to what exactly happened. He visits Peter, showing him telekinesis and Peter commenting it must be "in the family" to start picking up other powers. Nathan isn't so sure. He then visits Milly (the girl's mother and if anyone remembers to whom Angela went to for help when she was on the run from Danko) so he can get access to the pool house, the place the girl died in his flashback. Milly tells him that her daughter an away, as she hired a PI to try and tack her down. Apparently, the daughter bought a ticket to London and then disappeared. After more psychometrics, Nate sees himself and his gf drunk and playing a game, which ends in her slipping and smacking her head on a stone ledge. He calls Angela, they talk and she tells him she covered it up and had the Haitian erase his memory of the incident. Nate feels guilty, goes back to Milly, confesses and leaves her to her grief and rage.

Peter visits a jobless and lonely HRG, telling him about the compass and the tattoo, which disappeared before showing his arm to HRG. HRG says he is retired and wants to live a normal life. As Pete leaves, Claire visits HRG. Awkward hug and greeting btwn Pete and his girlfriend ... err I MEAN NIECE! Claire and HRG spend some quality father-daughter time, talking about getting a job etc. HRG realizes his skills aren't relevant to real world job markets. Claire imparts wisdom unto HRG, telling him "looking at our past helps us decide who we want to be" blah blah yoda crap.

<Cut to scene of a bathtub full of water. A stream of water detaches itself from the bath and a leggy leg forms, camera zooms up to reveal ... a towel wrapped Ali Larter >
... Our lovely Ice Queen, Tracy is back to her old life of big houses and fantabulous shoes. She goes back to her old employer, the Governor, and gets her old job back. However, she discovers her old life is lacking. Governor expects her to put out and seduce other politicians for him like she did in the past. She reflects in the bathroom, loses her cool and almost destabilizes into water form. She pulls herself back together, goes out and just walks out on the Governor and her career. Oh, there was a scene with her and HRG before her dinner with the Gov'na. He quotes Claire, giving Tracy advice.

Cut to the carnival. Darth Maul/Snake Eyes (Edgar) and Lydia (the clairvoyant tattooed girl)) talk, with Edgar voicing his dissatisfaction. Samuel catches em and talks about family blah blah. He uses Lydia to find a new recruit. She shows him HRG. Sammy says why he is shown, when he is no longer a concern for them as he is retired. Lydia says HRG's interest in their kind has come back.

HRG starts gathering info on the compass and etc.

Nathan parks his car in a parking garage. Gets ambushed and drugged by someone. Guy drives Nate to secluded woods, digs a shallow grave, drops Nate in, shoots him many times and then buries him. This scene was complemented by Milly and Angela having a friendly dinner. Milly is a kool villain/foil for Angela. Show ends with Sylar crawling out of the grave as the assassin drives off. <tick tock tick tock>

P.S. Next episode will have some girl on girl action. Gretchen goes in for the kill. Brian (everynametaken) and ironclad, you guys called it.
